Public Park in Via dei Vivai

The park in Vivai street was strongly requested in 2008 by the municipal administration of Mariano C.se how wanted it to be a wood in the city. The designers were asked to recover and merge together the neighboring green areas owned the the municipality. The park in Vivai street was strongly requested in 2008 by the municipal administration of Mariano C.se how wanted it to be a wood in the city. The designers were asked to recover and merge together the neighboring green areas owned the the municipality. The request was to create a new space where citizens could go during their free time with their children and dogs in contact with the nature, enter the woods with the bike of running through the green, safely using only the paths. The crossing of the park is marked by the main diagonal path in the shape of a broken polygonal that leads the citizens to a square where they can find a basketball court and a bowling alley. Following the route, you arrive at a large concrete parking area right behind Viale Lombardia and connected to Viale dei Platani. The access is underlined by a “green” embankment that protects people from the traffic and acts as noise and pollution filter. At the end, inside the park, we found a running circuit the passes through the wood with multiple tree species; the pond – on the other hand – allows an improvement of the water resources management, that will be complete with the drilling of an irrigation well that will use the first aquifer water to activate the irrigation system.
