Our project wanted to respond, right from the beginning, to the need to offer articulated services fundamental to help associates to cope with many obligations related to the exercise of a modern business activity. Our project wanted to respond, right from the beginning, to the need to offer articulated services fundamental to help associates to cope with many obligations related to the exercise of a modern business activity. The final results has been developed by us in both the formal and functional choices, with particular attention to the quality of the workplaces and the accessibility of the spaces, as well as the plant engineering and the energy saving strategies. The project essentially provides the renovation of the deteriorated existing ex Telecom building – related to the parking areas and the warehouses located at a lower level (- 1.40) than the entrance roadside – and the realization of a new building characterized by a wide “covered square” that collects the flows and conveys them to each localized function areas. Thanks to an accurate morphological and typological reading of the interested area and to the contextual situation, we could adopt the most correct plant. The focus of the project lies in the new central space between the existing building – where the reinforced structure of the parking areas and the warehouse under the street level is maintained and adapted – and the new C-shape structure. It is a wide space with glass walls, where all the function and activities related with the public took place: the reception, the front-office overlooked by the meeting rooms and the offices, breaking the rigidity of the complex with a central fluid space. This space is characterized above all by the use of natural light and by the green as in a large covered square. The new headquarter is not only composed by the administrative and managerial offices of the companies, but also by the laboratories and the classrooms for the training courses. It stands out from the outside for its look that is like a compact ring with accesses, ramps and openings that invites you to enter the large and bright hall giving it a sense of lightness. In the basement you find a large parking lot with a monolithic appearance. We gave the same importance to the study of greenery and the interpretation of the landscape. A ramps system, conveys users – and employees during breaks – in a natural park with furnished by seats and areas shaded by apple trees. All the working areas are committed to the outside thanks to the insertion of break areas and sitting areas, creating an alternation of full-empty, internal-external that differentiates the volumes design.
